“If you didn’t die for me, you cannot condemn me” — Pastor Jimi Odukoya responds to backlash over second marriage

Pastor Jimi Odukoya has responded to criticism surrounding his second marriage, declaring that those who did not make the ultimate sacrifice for him should not presume to condemn his personal decisions.

In a message shared on social media, the pastor addressed the backlash he has faced over his remarriage, stressing that people should not pressure or judge him over a decision that concerns his personal life.

“If you cannot die for me, don't pressure me. And if you did not die for me, you cannot condemn me. If you didn't die for me, you can't condemn me,” he said.

His remarks come amid public discussions and criticism following news of his second marriage, with the development generating mixed reactions on social media.

Jimi, who is the son of the late founder of the Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, lost his first wife, Pastor Nomthi Odukoya, in November 2021 after her battle with cancer.
